The world "marble" comes from the Greek translation of "shining stone." Marble has a long running history of acting as a key material in many of history's greatest works of art: The Taj Mahal, Lincoln Memorial, and the Roman Pantheon, to name a few. Phillips Collection had the desire to show this wonderful material off in its raw, natural glory, and the Gray Marble Stool is the product of this desire. Marble is known for being a timeless symbol of culture and refined taste, and the Gray Marble Stool excels at bringing a sense of nobility to any living space.
