About this Piece

The Manitapi Large Vase is made by a group of elderly women who live at the border of Burma and Thailand. Made from black terracotta, this incredible hand-thrown dark blue vase is completely covered in handmade bell-shaped flowers, a painstaking process that takes many hours with each vase. Once the blossoms are in place, the vase is glazed with a deep blue.
