About This Piece

Buddha means "enlightened" and our hand-carved teak seating embodies this goal. A literal representation of the protection asana (pose), the raised, open hand symbolizes a shield, signifying courage and offering protection from fear, delusion, and anger. Here, the dynamic grains and varying tones of teak wood are highlighted in a hand carved stool, available in both counter and bar heights.
